Jemma Redgrave Returns to Holby City – 12 June 2018

Jemma Redgrave is back at “Holby City” for a “couple” of episodes – her return airs on Tuesday 12 June 2018 at 8pm on BBC1.

Desperate to prove her worth, Meena prepares a bespoke care plan for Gaskell’s next patient – Jac. But while researching previous cases Meena discovers more than she bargained for. Dare she raise her concerns with the great Professor Gaskell? And has she taken her eye off the ball elsewhere?

Bernie’s trauma ward in Nairobi is ready to open and she wants Serena by her side. But with Holby still in recovery and Jason and Greta’s baby on the way, can Serena choose between the woman she loves and the family she’s devoted to?

When Abigail invites Fletch on a weekend away he wonders if she’s taking their relationship to the next level. This was just a bit of fun… wasn’t it?

Jemma Redgrave leaves Holby City!

Last night (August 8) viewers saw the departure of Consultant General Surgeon & Trauma Surgeon, Berenice ‘Bernie’ Wolfe played by Jemma Redgrave.

Jemma was originally suppose to be appearing in Holby City for six months, from early 2016, Jemma has stayed on for an extra year.

Bernie first appeared as a patient on Darwin, before settling professionally on Keller, she later became the co-clinical lead alongside Serena (Catherine Russell) on AAU.

Viewers saw last night that the Trauma Unit on AAU was closed down by new medical director Nina Karnik, Bernie left the wards after a patient forces her to reconsider what she really wants out of life. She left Holby to visit Serena in France before rejoining the army.

It has not yet been confirmed whether or not Jemma will be reprising her role as Bernie.
