Social Networks Update

Time for an update where you can find us on social media…

Twitter – the first network we created. Stay up-to-date with all the news and photos of Jemma’s projects.

Earlier this month we joined Facebook – but it’s a closed group so none other than members of the group itself can see the posts, discuss episodes and more. Come and join, it’s fun!

Last but not least, from today, you can find us on Instagram as well where we’re posting photos and edits. Contact us for requests!

For every site we have a no nude, no inappropiate material or harmful content rule. We respect Jemma’s private life so no content will be posted that she might feel uncomfortable with.

As always, feel free contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

P.S.: Hope you’ve suscribed to the Fanlisting as well – emails have been sent out for ‘Christmas Shopping’…

UNIT: Assembled – More Information and first cover revealed

As first exclusively revealed in this month’s Doctor Who Magazine, Big Finish have some very special news indeed about the fourth set of UNIT – The New Series…

New and classic eras of UNIT will come together in Big Finish’s four-disc audio drama UNIT: Assembled, which is released in May 2017. The ongoing series, which tells the further adventures of Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) and Osgood (Ingrid Oliver) gains three special recruits for the box set – Jo Jones (Katy Manning), John Benton (John Levene) and Mike Yates (Richard Franklin).

‘We went into our UNIT audio dramas with the aim of keeping them centred on the new series era of the organisation,’ says producer David Richardson. ‘But after two years of releases, the time has come to look fondly to the past… and when an old enemy threatens the world, Kate Stewart needs the help of her father’s colleagues.’

The old enemy in question is the Silurian race, here represented in their new series form and played by Richard Hope and Neve McIntosh (who worked together as Silurians in The Hungry Earth and Cold Blood).

‘A hibernating population of reptiles has awoken,’ David reveals, ‘and their leader Jastrok has a very different plan for getting the world back and ridding it of the pesky apes.’

One episode in the box set also centres on the Sea Devils, as Jo Jones must try and fill the shoes of her Doctor in order to save the world. Nicholas Briggs, the voice of the Daleks, plays the Sea Devil leader Krellix.

‘I’m so thrilled by this box set,’ says David. ‘It’s a great big story but full of heart and loving references to the past – little Easter Eggs that will delight everyone who has seen the era of the Third Doctor. And it was wonderful to have such legends as Katy, John and Richard with us at the recording, acting together in those roles for the first time since 1974. For everyone involved, this was very special indeed.’

UNIT: Assembled is written by Matt Fitton and Guy Adams, and directed by Ken Bentley. A fifth disc in the box set features behind the scenes interviews with the cast and crew. The cover (revealed today) is by Tom Webster.

The set is currently at a pre-order price of £20 for either Download or CD, or can be bought as part of a UNIT – The New Series bundle which collects together the four UNIT – The New Series sets for £80 on CD or Download.

Check out the entire range here.

Will Bernie and Serena reunite?

Bernie and Serena haven’t seen each other since their dramatic kiss in the aftermath of the helicopter crash and Bernie went abroad. So with Bernie due back at work, Serena’s understandably nervous and has made an extra effort with her appearance.

At the nurses’ station, the two doctors meet but remain polite and civil – but Serena’s nephew Jason puts his foot in it by asking his aunt if she’s told Bernie about what happened between her and old flame Robbie! Although Bernie pretends to be unaffected, secretly she’s heartbroken.

Later, up on the roof, Bernie confides in Dom that she has strong feelings for Serena. Back on the ward, Jason comes up with a plan to get the two women together – he locks them in Serena’s office! Will they finally admit their true feelings for one another?

Meanwhile, Inga’s envy over the closeness of Mo and Mr T continues to drive a wedge between her and her fiancé. But when she starts to sense there’s far more to Mo and Mr T than just friendship, it seems Inga will stop at nothing to keep her man.

Also, Isaac’s delighted when he receives a research grant and begins the hunt for a new research assistant. As Isaac’s beau Dom and ambitious Jasmine go head to head for the role, it’s obvious a lovestruck Dom will do anything to get what he wants…

Masterpost: Photos and quotes by Jemma Redgrave at LI Doctor Who Convention 2016

If you followed our twitter feed over the weekend, you may well know Jemma attended the Long Island Doctor Who comic-con recently. Take a look at these photos:

https://twitter.com/jendoctorwhofan/status/797150370124431360

I also made a list of quotes by Jemma from the panels…

“Are you going to sparkle all weekend? I may need to borrow some.” – Jemma Redgrave, loving our glitter.

“The episodes you’ve been in have been hallmarks for a lot of reasons.” Jemma Redgrave: “Isn’t it because I’m in them?

“Sometimes, I want to save the world — and, in the UNIT series, I get to.” Jemma Redgrave on Big Finish Doctor Who

“Weeping Angels scare the shit out of me.” – Jemma Redgrave

Jemma Redgrave: “Weeping Angels scare the s–t out of me!

Jemma Redgrave said, “If you didn’t know, a lot of my family are actors…” and then the room started laughing.

Jemma Redgrave said if she could choose any Shakespeare role, she’d be Beatrice.

Jemma Redgrave: should Kate Stewart be full time companion? “Don’t think I haven’t thought about it!”

Here is a #LIWho interview tidbit – not only would Jemma love to be back on DW, her aunt Vanessa would love to be a villain!

Jenna’s headcanon is that Kate is married to a woman.

“We’ve all got to have a patch that belongs to us. Fuck it, this is mine.” – Jemma Redgrave on being the only Redgrave in Who.

Then Jemma apologized profusely for dropping an f-bomb with kids in the audience.

“I think that Vanessa would quite like to be in Who…but she just can’t. It’s mine.” – Jemma

“For a woman to rise to the top of UNIT…it’s hard for women to do that in science so I knew she was STRONG.” Jemma on Kate.

“I knew she was an incredibly strong woman and I knew she had a sense of humor and I knew she adored her dad.” – Jemma on Kate

Jemma rattles off all the different TYPES of women shown on Who recently: “It’s such a range of women for girls to look up to.”

“Whatever your profession, you need a round of applause every once in a while” – Jemma Redgrave.

“I just watched and tried not to forget my lines!” – Jemma on watching Peter do the Zygon Inversion speech

Kate’s relationship to the Brig reminds Jemma of her relationship to her own father. They used to watch Doctor Who together.

“If someone asks, I’ll be there.” – Jemma on doing theatre in NY

Jemma explained to the “Power of Three” director how special the moment is when the Doctor tells Kate he knew her father.

Jemma tells about a fangirl moment meeting Jon Pertwee: “I couldn’t speak!”

Having just lost her dad, she cherished those moments where someone would share their memories with her.

Jemma stresses the practicality of Kate’s heels: “They aren’t high heels, they are kitten heels!”

“I have loved every single moment playing Kate and being on Doctor Who.”

Jemma Redgrave can’t stop praising the entire Doctor Who production staff.

Jemma: “I LOVE working with Ingrid. She’s a spectacular actress.”

Jemma said Peter Capaldi took her aside to say “YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS IS.” re: Kate saying 5 Rounds Rapid.

“I like to think about a character’s story in my head, what secrets they might have” Jemma abt headcanons

“I’m playing an army medic at the moment, I try to channel that physically… shoulders back chest out”

“It’s so lovely to come a place where everyone is so happy to see you!” – Jemma Redgrave on the con experience.

Clearly, Jemma Redgrave is bestowed with our “McGanning” award of the con aka the biggest con crush.

“I got the best part (in #DoctorWho) than anyone else I know.”

“They were so close, such a wonderful unit.” – Jemma on Karen and the Babes on Power of Three

“I feel a little trivial after that.” – Jemma quips after Ross and Sarah talk about their physical work with monster costumes.

Jemma is very proud of convincing the costume designer Kate’s military coat should be Burberry.

.@DebStanish accidentally calls Jemma “Kate”. Jemma: “Thank you.”

“If you share that on social media, I’ll send a Zygon after you.” – Jemma Redgrave, out of context.

Jemma gets a little emotional when she talks about the Community of Doctor Who fans and how they’ve embraced her.

Ross Mullen just BROKE Jemma Redgrave with a funny story and her LAUGH is a glorious barking thing of joy.

“You did scare the shit out of me.” – Jemma to Sarah Madison (The Weeping Angel)

“Do you mean sonic screwdriver envy?” – Jemma, when asked if the Doctors on the 50th “sized each other up.”

Jemma says the Brig was Kate’s “north star” just as her dad was for her.

“Family and community are so important… and it’s so heartwarming” Jemma on being part of the Doctor Who fandom

“I’ve played doctors so many times I’m almost qualified!” (to actually be a doctor)

Thanks to Head Over Feels, Sarah, Kayti, Chris Kocher, Deborah Stanish, Joy Fleisig and Lea for the coverage to keep all of us across the pond updated. Much appreciated 🙂
